Individual Development Accounts (IDA) matching grants for business, college education also available
FLAGSTAFF — The next Coconino County Community Services’ (CCCS) 12-week (36-hour) Basic Business Empowerment (BBE) will be presented from 6 to 9 p.m.Tuesday evenings, May 14th through July 30th, at the County Health and Community Services Building (2625 N. King St., Flagstaff, AZ 86004).
Prior to approving an applicant’s enrollment prospective candidates need to also take a short online assessment of their entrepreneurial knowledge/capacity by clicking on this weblink We use this to score and gauge how suited potential BBE candidates are for business start-up and ownership. After completing your assessment please print, scan, and attach (or copy and paste) your total and section scores into a reply email to me or into a Word document attached to it. (Please note that the assessment website is not connected with the BBE program so there is no need to register or provide them your e-address, unless you want to receive solicitation from them.)
Lastly, the registration is not complete until CCCS approves your application and receives any required supporting documentation and your $125 registration fee. The last page of the application requests financial information required by our funding agencies and is also used to determine eligibility for a 50% BBE training scholarship, and to pre-screen eligibility for the Individual Development Accounts (IDA match saving grant opportunity. The class fee must be paid in person with cash or check to reserve your seat in the class.
Please contact our recruiter Pat Nateway (pnatseway@coconino.az.gov); 928-679-7466) regarding signing-up for BBE or the IDA match grant. If you have any questions Pat can also answer those.
