FLAGSTAFF — Local First Arizona has just released the first edition of the Flagstaff Small Wonders map, a pocket-sized guide featuring over 25 local restaurants, galleries, boutiques, venues, and experiences located in Flagstaff, Williams, and Winslow. All of the businesses included in the guide are independently owned and operated.
“We created the Small Wonders map series to help Arizona residents and visitors find the unique local businesses in their neighborhoods,” said Thomas Barr, Executive Director of Local First Arizona. “These maps also showcase the unique sense of place each of these communities offers, and the Flagstaff Small Wonders Map demonstrates the community’s emphasis on local foods, history, culture, and the arts.”
This very first edition of the Flagstaff Small Wonders map features local businesses all over Flagstaff and includes unique destinations in both Williams and Winslow.
Known for some of the state’s best microbreweries, Flagstaff members of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild are highlighted on the map’s back panel. Additional businesses featured in this first edition include The Museum of Northern Arizona, Brightside Book Shop, Criollo Latin Kitchen, the Old Town Shops and Click Co+Work, a co-working space for visiting professionals or students needing a place to connect. This map also features information about regular public events happening in the Flagstaff area including the First Friday Artwalk, Historic Downtown Walking Tour, the Sunday Farmers Market and Flagstaff Hullabaloo to name a few.
Participating local businesses were thrilled to participate in the first edition which highlights what their community has to offer and showcases the very best of Flagstaff. “Local First Arizona is an organization I trust,” said Kari Watson of The Garden Thrift Store. “I truly feel heard and well represented. We are honored to be amongst other local businesses in the Flagstaff Small Wonders map!”
