This Week’s Happening Highlights
The Flagstaff CVB publishes Flagstaff 365 Happenings on a weekly basis to highlight local events happening in and around Flagstaff. It is distributed throughout Downtown Flagstaff, displayed in kiosks and storefronts, and also available at the Flagstaff Visitor Center. Below are some highlights. Sunday, September 9

 

Wine in the Woods, The Arboretum at Flagstaff. Wine in the Woods brings regionally produced Arizona wineries to one place. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 

Thursday-Wednesday, Sept. 6-12 

Oak Creek Overlook Vista, Native American arts andcrafts  (NACA) off Highway 89-A, atop the switchbacks of Oak Creek Canyon. 16 Native American Vendors and Artists showcase and sell authentic arts and crafts. 8 a.m.; free. 

Monday, September 10 
The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act Turns 50, Riordan Mansion State Historic Park. Become familiar with the landmark policy and understand it’s potential impact.12:15 p.m.; free. 

FLG Lunar Legacy
Experience the 50th anniversary of one of humankind’s grandest achievements in setting foot on another world and celebrate Flagstaff’s Role in the Apollo Moon Missions. Many milestones occurred in the Flagstaff area including astronaut science training, instrument development and lunar mapping.
