FLAGSTAFF — Be they Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal, young or old, riding around in a limousine or pulling a small child around in a wagon, the Flagstaff community pulled together to present the 2018 Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade.

Politicos were everywhere, along with the occasional horse, donkey, Shetland Pony, goats and other livestock as an estimated 20,000 locals and visitors crowded into downtown Flagstaff to watch the more than 120 parade entries.

The Conservative Coalition of Northern Arizona, complete with their oversized elephant float, with followed later by “Families Belong Together” with their “Immigrants Welcomed Here” banners. The parade also included entries from the Flagstaff Unified School District, private schools, the Arizona Highland Celtic Festival, a Star Wars 501st Legion contingent of space aliens, Brazilian-music inspired Sambatuque and other student dance groups.

Applauds were heard throughout the parade route, especially to U.S. military veterans and firefighters from a variety of agencies.
