FLAGSTAFF — Residents of the Arrowhead Village trailer park will hold a celebration / protest at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at 703 So. Blackbird Roost, Flagstaff.
“The homes of residents in Arrowhead Village are being threatened by a development proposal,” Roxana Cardiel De Niz of Hermosa Vida stated in a media release. “These residents have made it clear that they want to stay in their homes or given options that are fair and meet their needs. The first public meeting on this issue was postponed as result of resident input and residents have decided to celebrate the fact that their voices have been heard!”
Cardiel De Niz, and Anamaria Velasco Ortiz, a member of the Northern Arizona Interfaith Council, a helping to organize residents.
“Last week over 60 residents came together to celebrate this ‘first round’ success,” Cardiel De Niz said. ” The Arrowhead Village residents would now like to invite all of Flagstaff to celebrate with them at Arrowhead Village next Saturday November 2 at 5pm!! There will be music, food, and games for all! Please join us in this celebration of a small but key step in the right direction for social justice!”
