Phoenix Rising
Join us Monday evening at seven for the season debut of The Phoenix Symphony on Symphony Night from
Classical KNAU.
The series of 13 broadcast concerts begins with Mozart’s “Requiem” and other selections March 12, continuing the following week with Gustav Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde,” and Haydn’s “Farewell Symphony.”
Phoenix Symphony Music Director Tito Munoz leads the orchestra on all but three of the broadcasts, with guest appearances by New York Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Case Scaglione, Phoenix Symphony Assistant Matthew Kasper and rising star Karina Canellakis, winner of the 2016 George Solti Conducting Award.
