Re-cap of the Jan 22 Open Spaces Commission Meeting at City Hall:

Dave McIntire, the Flagstaff Community Investment Director, outlined opportunities for growth in the realm of transit and traffic in Flagstaff. Opportunities include traffic and congestion solutions, bike lane implementation, and road expansion, all of which intend to increase residential and commercial opportunities, foster employee retention and expansion, and enhance visitor experience.

A representative from NAU outlined the growth metrics of the university. NAU anticipates enrollment to continue increasing into 2025 and has planned continued expansion of on-campus housing in order to house its growing student population. The new Honors College dormitory, opening fall 2018, will add 630 more on-campus beds to the current 9700.
