FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff announces Fire Chief Mark Gaillard as this year’s recipient of the Mary Jo Jenkins’ Outstanding Director of the Year award.

“Chief Gaillard exemplifies the traits, work ethic and warm, friendly spirit so memorably demonstrated by Mary Jo during her tenure with the City and I’m sure she would be proud of this year’s selection,” said City Manager, Josh Copley.

The award is given in honor of the late Mary Jo Jenkins, the City of Flagstaff’s Management Services Director from 1987-2009. Jenkins was known as an exceptional leader with encyclopedic knowledge of the city’s finances.

Chief Gaillard was selected for his exemplary leadership during this past year. Under his leadership, the Flagstaff Fire Department has responded to a significantly increased call volume with professionalism, dedication and self-sacrifice.

“I have greatly enjoyed working for the City of Flagstaff and the Fire Department for the last four years,” said Chief Gaillard. “Although I did not know Mary Jo Jenkins, it’s obvious she touched the hearts of many here at Team Flagstaff. I’m humbled to receive the award named in her honor.”2) Consideration of Tiered Rates for Non-Residential Potable Water Customers. We encourage you to attend and be involved in the discussion!
