City Clerks receive two prestigious awards from the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association

FLAGSTAFF — Flagstaff’s City Clerk and Deputy City Clerk were recently recognized for their exceptional service and outstanding accomplishments by the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association (AMCA) at the organization’s annual conference on July 25, 2017.

Elizabeth Burke, Flagstaff City Clerk, was presented with the “Presidential Award of Distinction” and Stacy Saltzburg, Flagstaff Deputy City Clerk, was presented with the “Deputy Clerk of the Year” award.

“The service that Elizabeth and Stacy provide to the citizens of Flagstaff is exceptional and they deserve recognition for their accomplishments” said Flagstaff Deputy City Manager, Shane Dille. “Their work and willingness to assist others benefits not only the citizens of Flagstaff, but the State of Arizona and AMCA as well.”

The “Deputy Clerk of the Year” award recognizes an AMCA member, serving in the role of Deputy Clerk, whose accomplishments have made the most significant contribution to raising the professional status and image of the municipal clerks’ profession, improved municipal government in Arizona and/or contributed to continuing education of Arizona’s municipal clerks.

The “Presidential Award of Distinction” is given by the AMCA president and recognizes a member whose exceptional work has assisted the AMCA board with furthering the organization’s mission and contributed to the betterment of the AMCA.
