FLAGSTAFF — City Hall offices at 211 W. Aspen Ave. will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day. City Hall offices will be open on Monday, July 3 with regular hours and re-open on Wednesday, July 5 with regular hours of 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Due to the holiday, the Tuesday City Council meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5 and located at Coconino County Board of Supervisors Chambers (219 E. Cherry Ave.) with live streaming available at http://www.coconino.az.gov/1589/BOS-Video-Stream. The City Council will start the summer recess following this meeting and council meetings will resume on Tuesday, August 15 at City Hall.
City of Flagstaff facilities that are also closed Independence Day include:
- East Flagstaff Community Library (3000 N. Fourth St.)
- Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library (300 W. Aspen Ave.)
- Jay Lively Ice Arena (1650 N. Turquoise Dr.)
- Joe C. Montoya Community and Senior Center (245 N. Thorpe Rd.)
- Hal Jensen Recreation Center (2403 N. Izabel St.)
The Aquaplex (1702 N. 4th St.) will close early at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 3 and be open on Independence Day with special holiday hours from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Trash and recycling collection, along with landfill, will be on a regular schedule.
As a reminder the City of Flagstaff is currently under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions and the sale or use of consumer grade fireworks within the City is prohibited.

Coconino County offices closed in honor of July 4 holiday
All Coconino County offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
While the administrative offices at the Sheriff’s Office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, records will remain open with limited staff from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please dial 911 for emergencies. For non-emergencies, dial 928-774-4523 to connect with the non-emergency dispatch number or to leave a message for one of the administrative offices.
Coconino County Public Health Services District (CCPHSD) Animal Management will have an officer available from 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. Contact the CCPHSD Animal Management office at 928-679-8756 and leave a message. Call 9-1-1 for emergencies.
Coconino County’s parks and natural areas will remain open during the holiday, but administrative offices at Fort Tuthill County Park will be closed and limited staff or services will be available. The Fort Tuthill Bike Park is open. The public is encouraged to visit one of the County’s parks for a morning run, afternoon hike or to view local wildlife.
The County is currently in Stage 2 fire restrictions which prohibits the use of fireworks.
