2019 Flagstaff Street Maintenance project

FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff City Council approved the 2019 Street Maintenance overlay project at their May 7, 209 meeting. This project consists of 22 street asphalt overlays as well as associated concrete repairs for a construction cost of $4.6 million. This work is part of the 2014 voter approved Proposition 406 dedicated sales tax for Road Repair and Street Safety (RRSS) improvements. The work includes more than $100 million of infrastructure improvements scheduled to be completed over the term of the 20-year tax.

The work will begin with concrete repairs along Forest Avenue and Cedar Avenue May 13, 2019.  The work will start at the intersection of West Street and Cedar Avenue and continue to the intersection of Beaver Street and Forest Avenue. It is anticipated this work will take approximately three-weeks (weather permitting) and the public should expect traffic impacts in both directions throughout the duration of the project.
