FLAGSTAFF — NAU Latin American Studies and NAU No More Deaths will screen the documentary “Undeterred” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Liberal Arts Room 136, Northern Arizona University.
Undeterred is an important view of community resistance in the rural border town of Arivaca, Arizona. At this screening we will have present the director, Eva Lewis who lives in Arivaca, as well as three other activists who are featured in the film (Nellie Jo David, Peter Ragan and Jackson Wray). This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn about the issue of militarization in the borderlands as well as to hear first-hand from members of “People helping People,” a group of activists who are doing what they can to resist what they consider a gross injustice occurring in the borderlands of Arizona. This event is sponsored by Latin American Studies and NAU—No More Deaths.
