Message from Mary – Nationally November is now recognized as Native American Heritage Month, which is a good step forward for the country. At MNA we have celebrated the people of the Colorado Plateau for more than 90 years, so one month seems limiting. Instead, we are launching a new Indigenous Insights series, which will share interesting aspects of the cultures of the region – traditional, modern, and frequently a combination of the two. Join us on Nov. 2 for an interesting panel discussion of indigenous designers and cosplay artists on how what we wear expresses culture, individuality, and sometimes let’s us play with our identity.
