County Courts modify schedules & procedures
Courts will remain open
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Under Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Order 2020-48 and Coconino County Superior Court Administrative Order 2020-005, the court is modifying court operations to protect the public, court staff and the judiciary. Court Administration is working with State and County Officials to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and make changes to court schedules.
Due to recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Coconino County Health and Human Services, the Court is implementing proactive precautionary measures to reduce social interactions. The Court remains open but is encouraging individuals to delay any non-essential matters with the court. The Superior Court will be temporarily accepting motions to continue cases via email at coconinot36@courts.az.gov.
Individuals who need to pay a fine should mail the payment, pay online at:www.azcourtpay.com or in-person at any PayNearMe locations which can be found at https://home.paynearme.com/merchantlocations. People who are not able to pay due to financial hardship should call the court to work out a payment plan.

telephonically or have the matter continued. People who are exhibiting symptoms of illness will be
ordered to leave the courtroom.
The Court asks anyone who is not a party in a case but wishes to attend court in support of a friend or family member, to reconsider coming to court unless attendance is essential (i.e., people who will be called to testify or must speak on behalf of that party). All in-custody matters will be done by video conferencing or by phone.

Evidence of COVID-19 community transmission in Coconino County
Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) officials have found evidence of community transmission of COVID-19 in Coconino County.
Community transmission happens when there are confirmed cases of COVID-19 and there is no source of infection identified in some of the cases and cannot be directly traced back to a known exposure.
Due to the identification of community transmission, and to reduce the spread of COVID-19, health officials are reinforcing the importance of practicing social distancing, frequent hand washing and staying home when sick.
For additional information you can call our COVID 19 Information Call line at (928) 679-7300 or log into our Coconino County website to help answer your questions.
