Current, former Southside, La Plaza Vieja residents invited to attend community gathering Sept. 17, 18 to share memories for new sculpture

What shouldn’t we forget?

FLAGSTAFF — Share memories! All those with Southside ties are invited to a gathering to share remembrances, both personal and universally important recollections that have shaped the Southside and its people. The community’s words will be incorporated into a large-scale sculpture that will be installed at Cleo Murdoch Park in 2025. Entitled “Rustle,” this 8-foot-high weathering steel artwork will contain within its structure that which we should not forget about the Southside, a community and location steeped in happenings and history.
