FLAGSTAFF — Jorge Mendoza Yescas, Cónsul General from the Consulado de México en Phoenix, was a busy individual last week attending two forums the day before the Consulado Móvil at Coconino Community College.
The Cónsul first attended the Flagstaff Consulado Movil Mexicano Ed Talk, part of CCC’s ED Talks series, on Oct. 18, before heading over to Killip Elementary School for an immigration forum which also featured a discussion with Flagstaff Police Chief Kevin Treadway and Coconino County Sheriff Jim Driscoll. Presented by the Northern Arizona Interfaith Council (NAIC), the event included a discussion on ways immigrant neighbors can protect their rights.
