FLAGSTAFF — It seemed as if all of Flagstaff, and even all of Northern Arizona turned out for the 2019 Flagstaff 4th of July Parade presented by the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce.
More than 100 entries took part in this year’s festivities, which began in the far northern reaches of Beaver Street, through downtown and up through San Francisco Street.
Members of the Coconino Hispanic Advisory Council (CHAC) once again took part in the annual event, with local veterans and Mrs. Percy Piestewa, mother of Lori Piestewa, riding with the organization. Lori was one of the first Americans killed during the Iraq War.
The parade included a military band, school children from Flagstaff Unified School District, numerous business and community non-profit and government organizations.
