Holiday Shopping Passport: November 21 – December 31, 2022
Shop Local this holiday season!! The Holiday Shopping Passport is available at each of the 20 participating businesses or online at downtownflagstaff.org. Shop at 5 participating businesses or spend a combined total of at least $250 to be entered to win prizes from Downtown Businesses. The Grand Prize is a $350 value and there will be many other prizes of varying values!
New to this year’s passport, shoppers can also earn extra entries by donating to a giving tree in a downtown business or donating to the ‘Howlidays Pawp-Up’ Fundraiser on Sunday, December 11th. The passport will be live from Tuesday, November 22nd – Sunday, January 1st.

Slack Friday – November 25, 2022
Slack off this Black Friday! No need to wake up early and stand in long lines in the cold to get great deals! Enjoy Slack Friday on Friday, November 25th, 2022 and support local businesses in Downtown Flagstaff. More than 20 businesses will have a variety of discounts and sales available ALL day and some even offer a special drink to sip while you shop! Enjoy your morning coffee and leisurely make your way downtown for great savings and Holiday shopping – without the stress. Winter Movie Series: December 3, December 10, December 17, 2022 – FREE
Who doesn’t love Holiday movies?! Three Saturdays in December – the 3rd, 10th, and 17th – The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance partners with The Orpheum Theater to show holiday favorites. This FREE movie series will start at 9:30am with crafts, and the movie begins at 10am. December 3 – ‘Home Alone’
December 10 – ‘Elf’
December 17 – ‘Polar Express’ with a special appearance by Santa.

Breakfast with Santa: December 3, December 10, December 17, 2022
Breakfast with Santa is back! From 9AM-11AM, enjoy a hot buffet-style breakfast, crafts, music and photos with Santa! Come dressed in your best Holiday attire or in your coziest pajamas for family-fun! This event will be at the historic Weatherford Hotel. Tickets are $23, those 2 and under are free. December 17th is SOLD OUT with only a few tickets remaining for the 3rd and 10th. Buy your tickets here!
Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting: December 3, 2022- FREE
Join The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and the City of Flagstaff PROSE Division to kick-off the Holiday Season with the annual Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting! Starting at 3PM in Heritage Square on Saturday, December 3rd, residents and visitors alike can get in the Holiday spirit with a FREE event for the family!
There will be FREE hot cocoa, cookie decorating, live music, caroling, crafts, a photobooth, a s’more station provided by THAT Place Projects, and more! At 6PM, Mayor Paul Deasy, other elected officials, and Santa will arrive to light the tree in Heritage Square. Be sure to follow the Downtown Flagstaff Facebook Page for updates!
Window Decorating Contest: December 9 – December 23, 2022
Downtown businesses are gearing up to participate in a friendly competition with the annual Window Decorating Contest. Follow the Downtown Flagstaff social media for updates! The voting period is from Friday, December 9th – Friday, December 23rd. Voting will take place through the Downtown Flagstaff website with pictures of all the decorated windows posted for viewing. Or take a stroll through Downtown Flagstaff to see the windows and vote on your favorite one! A list of participating businesses will be available soon on the website.
12 Bars of Christmas: December 10, 2022
The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance is hosting the 3rd annual 12 Bars of Christmas Bar Crawl on Saturday, December 10th 2pm-6pm! This is a fun and festive bar crawl where revelers are encouraged to wear ugly holiday sweaters and other festive outfits! Participants check in at Uptown Pub House and attend a karaoke after party at the Gopher Hole (6pm-9pm). Tickets are for sale here. Howlidays Pawp-Up: December 11, 2022
Downtown Flagstaff is embracing the season of giving with our first annual Howlidays Pawp-Up. Dress up your dogs and “pawp” downtown to take a family photo with Santa at Late for the Train from 11AM-2PM on Saturday, December 11th. Donations will be taken at the event and online which will be divided between High Country Humane and Coconino Humane Association. Local downtown businesses will be donating to the shelters, have donation stations set up, and some will even have pet-friendly specials! A list of participating businesses will be available soon. Stop by for a warm drink from Late for the Train, snap a photo and enjoy giving back with your pups! We have high hopes for fundraising and we know with your help, it is paw-sible to give a pup-tastic gift to the Humane Societies this holiday season! Noon Year’s Eve: December 31, 2022 – FREE
Ring in the new year with a fun, FREE, family friendly event in Heritage Square. Noon Year’s Eve takes place on Saturday, December 31st from 10am – 12 Noon. Celebrate the arrival of 2023 with crafts, a photo booth, noisemakers and more! Welcome the new year with a sparkling apple cider toast and Hershey kisses as the Weatherford Hotel treats us to a special pine cone drop at 12 Noon. Follow here for more updates!

The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance (FDBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Historic Downtown Flagstaff. FDBA sponsors free family events to encourage visitation to our downtown businesses. Through these activities, we add to the economic viability of the area, and the community in general. FDBA also advocates for important business issues, providing education to the public and a strong voice to our City regarding the health of our economy.
