FLAGSTAFF – Visitors had the opportunity to look over paintings and jewelry by local artists and tour the progress of renovation at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cultural Center as it hosted its inaugural First Friday Art Walk event held May 2, 2014 in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The event was presented by Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces.

Dozens of visitors viewed paintings by artist Johnny Anaya, who was born and raised in Flagstaff. His artwork includes hand-painted scrolls which hang from native wood, often pained on recycled blue jeans. Click here for a profile on Anaya.

Also joining Anaya was artist Vangie Rodriguez, who was born and raised in Flagstaff and is a graduate of NAU. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/artzyartizta
