Flagstaff Fire Department hosts training and simulated incident on Feb. 17

FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff Fire Department invites members of the media to attend a Command and General Staff training on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 17. This training will include a simulated incident and will prepare participants to function effectively as members of the Command and General Staff on a Type 2 Incident Management Team.

An incident management team is dispatched or mobilized during complex emergency incidents to provide a command and control infrastructure in order to manage the operational, logistical, informational, planning, fiscal, community, political, and safety issues associated with complex incidents. Participants include representatives from federal, state and municipal agencies from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. The training will be held at the City of Flagstaff Public Works Facility, 3200 W Route 66 Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
